They were against Ryan Reynolds’ show, Welcome to Wrexham, for the outstanding unstructured reality program. Many expected Vanderpump Rules to win the award for the viral scandal.

No, Vanderpump Rules did not win an Emmy. However, the Bravo show did receive two Emmy nominations, which were announced back in July 2023, after Scandoval had come to light.

They faced off against Deadliest Catch, Life Below Zero, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked and Welcome to Wrexham. Vanderpump Rules was also nominated for picture editing for an unstructured reality program.

Vanderpump Rules lost to Ryan Reynolds’ show, Welcome to Wrexham. On the same night, even Jennifer Lawrence was saying she “can’t wait” for Vanderpump Rules’ new season at the Golden Globes!

The 10th season saw rating highs and spurred national debate after it was revealed in March that Tom Sandoval cheated on long-time partner Ariana Madix with co-star Leviss.

After Vanderpump Rules lost out on its Emmy nomination, fans couldn’t believe it, considering the way Scandoval went so viral even Adele mentioned it on her American tour.

One fan wrote: “Genuinely how is that possible. Scandoval rocked the world.” Another was disappointed and penned on Twitter: “Noooooo we wanted Vanderpump to win.”
