Brad was an only child born to Douglas Edward “Doug” Paisley and Sandra Jean Paisley. Her father, Edward, worked in transport while her mother was a teacher. Brad credits his maternal grandfather, Warren Jarvis, for propelling him into music at an early age. He bought Brad his first guitar when he was eight years old and also taught him how to play.
For a man with impressive romantic lines in his songs, it is not surprising that he met his wife under interesting circumstances. In 1995, while still in another relationship, Brad took his then girlfriend (name unknown) to the cinema, where they saw the 1991 comedy – Father of the Bride where Kimberly Williams played the lead role.
